Despite the fact that the Northeastern University Maddogs drew first blood, scoring within the first few minutes of the game, the Dogs were handed their only defeat of the season by Army, 55-3.

The Maddogs went into the game facing one the top teams in the country missing several key starters. This gave the Dogs a huge disadvantage. An injury early in the game forced another Maddog starter off the field. This situation resulted in a mixed A/B side for Northeastern playing against a strong A side for Army.

The Northeastern B’s also fell to a 6-1 record for the season in a 26-10 loss.

Nonetheless, the Maddogs played valiantly under sunny skies and great field conditions. A multitude of loyal Maddog fans made the trip to New York, enjoying tailgate get-togethers and the sights of historic West Point.
